FAMILY IS EVERYTHING

My family has always been the most beautiful thing in my life. Those of you that are close to me know James and I were both adopted by the HALES FAMILY. To this day I have never been so blessed in my life. I love EVERYTHING about my family.

When my grandmother passed away I was so down. Both my grandmother and grandfather helped raise James and I when we were younger so our parents could work. They were like second parents to both James and I. My grandma promised a few days before she passed that she would not pass on my birthday September 30th. One of my grandma's other wishes was to buy me a birthday cake. She was able to enjoy a piece as well. We both sat on her bed and ate the cake and just enjoyed our time together. She then asked me to paint her nails. I knew her time was coming closer and I just wanted to spend every second with her. On September 29th of 2007 my grandma took her last breath and went to sleep. Grandma Hales never broke her promise to me.

A month after my

grandma passed away my Aunt Brenda passed away from Cancer. My Aunt and Uncle were in Hawaii taking some time to relax when my aunt who was supposedly cured started having issues with her breathing. So they came home early and went straight to the doctor. My aunt passed away unexpectedly. She's in a better place with no pain. She is an angel!

VANCE AND I ARE GOING TO FLORIDA!!!!

So, Vance and I have not taken a vacation with each other. It's been 11 months today! That may not seem like a long time to a few of you but hey we all start from somewhere. It's been a great 11 months for sure! Anyway, back in the summer Vance and I along with his parents went to the Rib fest downtown. While we were there some lady walked up to me and asked if I wanted to sign up to win 3 trips. One to Florida, Vegas, and Aruba. I said, what the heck! I never win anything so why not. Well guess what? I won all three trips. So the first trip we have to go to is to Orlando Florida! We are going for a week in April. We are so excited!!! I'm definitely looking forward to getting away from everything for a week. I am so EXCITED!!!!! That's all for now!

This is Kynna my brothers little girl. She's growing up so fast!!! We don't get to see much of her but when we do we make the best out of it. This was taken on her birthday in September. She's a LIBRA just like her aunt!!! She loves grandpa and the marble tricks he does as you can see above. I love her to death!!!

Vance and I met last year in March at Britton Tavern. No, it wasn't your typical bar introduction. It was different and we were SOBER! I was training for my fitness contest and was on my way home from the gym and tanning bed. I was in sweats and a sweat shirt (yum). A few of my friends were watching the March Madness tourny games at BT and called to see if I wanted to swing by on my way home. I said no, but last minute thought "ok, I'll run in say hey then leave." After I went to see my friends I looked over and saw this guy. He was wearing a reds hat and a red and white stripped shirt. As soon as we saw each other we just smiled. After that smile, everytime we looked at each other it was as if our eyes were stuck on each other. I immediately turned and said "who is that guy over there?" My girlfriend said, "his name is Vance." I said "he's very cute I must say." So after sitting there looking like a hot mess drinking water while everyone else was enjoying a nice cold brew Vance walked over to me. I had tons of butterflies in my stomach. It was as if I fell in love with him in that one second. But how could I have been so sure???? So, we introduced ourselves and then Vance said he had to take off because he had to work early in the morning. I was bummed. But said, "well it was nice meeting you." After he left I then said my goodbyes and also left. After I got home I wanted to know all about Vance. So, I text my girlfriend asking for his number. At this same exact time Vance was also texting my friend asking for my number. After we both had each others digits we were texting/calling 24-7. Vance had invited me to go watch him play softball in indy one night. After we left his game we all met for dinner (which I could not take part in due to my extreme dieting for the show) at Taco Bell. After we were all about to leave Vance pulled me over to talk to him. I was nervous just like the first night we met. He then pulled me over to him and kissed me. The rest is HISTORY. I've never been so incredibly happy in my entire life. He is my life. He is my best friend. I love him with everything I have. He is the ONE for me.

This is Boomer our son!

This is Boomer. Vance and I adopted Boomer from a family in Indianapolis. The family we adopted him from originally had given him to a family before us. One day the foster parents let their own dogs out to use the restroom. When they were letting in their two dogs a third one came running in behind them. Looking down they saw the little guy they had given to the previous adoptive parents. But they realized the family had given the dog back that morning. You'd think they would have brought him to the front door. No, they were so nice enough to drop this little guy over the fence and drive away. I really don't understand how some people can treat animals but two things; one, I'm glad they put him back in his own yard and two he would not be with us today if they never had given him back. The family ended up calling him "Boomerang" this being they had given him away and he came back.

BOOMER- Vance's boss told him that a couple he knew were wanting to give a puppy away that they had fostered. After Vance showed me pictures I fell in love with him. That next weekend we went and saw Boomer and met with the foster parents as well. They were so nice. We promised he would ALWAYS be taken care of and we would NEVER give him away. We ended up bringing Boomer home that same day. He's been with us every since!!! As cute as the story was we decided to cut his name down to simply BOOMER. He's such a great day boy! He is part Jack Russell and the other half Mutt. He is so loving!

The first Chapter

Well, the first chapter has been a great one so far. I have found the person I am going to spend the rest of my life with FOREVER. Vance Michael Smith and I have been together for almost a year now and its been NOTHING but the best. I believe when you're that happy you start to think about EVERYTHING.

I recently purchased my own home in Noblesville which has been amazing as well. Its a two story 3 bedroom house. The bought the house from a fellow who didnt even live in it the entire time he owned it. It was practically brand new!!! It came with all appliances as well. It was a buy for sure!! This summer we are looking forward to putting in hardwood floors downstairs, along with some backyard work. It's definately a great feeling to be able to own your own house. It was a great purchase and we are definately happy.
